It's lavender blooming and harvesting season in Provence! Blooming lavender fields in Valensole city of Southeastern France's Alpes-de-Haute-Provence make everything all the more beautiful. The farmer uses a combine harvester to perform the meticulous and painstaking task of harvesting and spends as much as 12 hours going back and forth along the identical columns. Rows stretching into the distance have their striking purple tips plucked to leave rows of fresh green stems behind.
