THE GARDEN BRIDGE ON THE THAMES RIVER IN LONDON

Designed by Thomas Heatherwick of London based Heatherwick Studio, the pedestrian 'Garden Bridge' will connect north London and south London across the river Thames with a Garden. Rich and diverse horticulture will be cultivated on the bridge and the bridge will also support many indigenous river edge plant species. The elevated garden will provide easy linkage to commuters who prefer walking to work. The bridge will have viewing areas for visitors to enjoy the amazing view of London. 

The foot bridge will cost £175 Million which is considered to be 10 times more than the usual cost of a foot bridge. The length of the garden bridge will be 1214 Feet ( 370 meters).
