Sculptures by Peter Demetz comes with their own surrounding, this small setup is like a 3D sculptural scene in itself. The approach is very modern in spite of using a very traditional medium of wood. The sculptures are small which can be hung on walls. Its extremely different to sculpt small figurines in wood with the amount of detail and perfection that Peter Demetz demonstrates in his works. Peter lives and works in the small town of Ortisei in Italy.
The concept of sculpting an entire 3D scene from wood is entirely new for me, i am yet to come across any such work, i am in awe of the excellent craftsmanship and the originality of the whole concept.
